Lovemythang (ˈləv ˈmī ˈthiŋ) is a collection of work by me, Matt DeAngelo. I am currently the Senior Art Director at Fuse Interactive in Laguna Beach, California. How did I end up all the way in sunny Southern California being from New Jersey you ask? Besides the obvious, here is my story.

After studying biology and tearing my body up playing college football, I decided a change of pace was necessary. So after a couple years of gathering funds and researching, I decided to drop everything and move to Laguna Beach to study art...yes art. Well design to be more specific, at Laguna College of Art and Design.

In 2004 I graduated with a bachelors degree in graphic design. Laguna being such a small city didn't have much to offer me for work, so I decided to move again. This time I was San Francisco bound.

After a week of roaming around San Francisco, I was hired by a company called EVB (Evolution Bureau, www.evb.com). We had some really amazing clients such as Wrigley, Adidas, Leapfrog, Kashi, Microsoft and OfficeMax to name a few. I gained a ton of flash animation and design experience over the two years I was there. But I was young and I needed to move on.

Southern California was beckoning once more. I served a short stint at Juxt Interactive (www.juxtinteractive.com) doing flash animation and design work. Then finally in 2007 the stars aligned. My career path led me back to where I started--Laguna Beach. I have been an art director at Fuse Interactive for the last two years working with such clients as Kawasaki, Verizon, HP, Disney and Thales. It has been an amazing couple of years here at Fuse. I feel that I am growing into a stronger designer everyday.
